Game Guide

About Simon Says (Pattern Memory)

How to Play

This digitial adaptation of Simon Says is a classic rhythm and sequence memory game featuring four brightly colored, musical pads.

The game initiates a sequence by lighting up one pad and playing its corresponding tone. The player must then repeat the sequence by pressing the same pad.

With each successful round, the game adds one more step to the sequence, challenging the player to remember longer and longer patterns of lights and sounds.

Educational Benefits

This game is arguably one of the best cognitive exercises for working memory and sequential processing. It requires both visual and auditory attention simultaneously.

As the sequences grow longer, the child must rely on 'chunking' information (remembering sub-patterns) rather than individual items. This naturally develops high-level cognitive strategies that are essential for reading comprehension and multi-step math problems later in life.
